Patience a virtue???

So, I know we are all told that we should be patient that it's a virtue.. Who made that statement first?  I mean were they rich?  Have no cares in the world?  I have a lot of patience for the most part.  When it comes to medical issues.. I don't really have much patience in that field.. HEY I will be the first to admit it.  Like for example... I had some lab work done to see if I do or don't have Lupus... Well here I am attempting my best to be patient while awaiting the results... It's super hard...  I don't know how doctors expect people to be "patient" with them.. all the technology they have and it takes weeks to get results back?  But, yet I take one of my children to the doctor's office and they tell me that she possible had an acl tear.. so they did an x-ray didn't even look at it for 5 mins.. no lie... and said that her acl is not ruptured... I said that's good....while I'm thinking to myself dang that was fast... maybe to fast for them to actually look at the x-rays properly....hmmm...So he said we had to follow up with our primary doctor for an MRI.. because if she does have a tear an x-ray won't show it.. I'm like ok no problem... so I call our family doctor who is a REALLY good doctor... and they look over the charts and see nothing where this other doctor said anything about an acl or any type of tear.. .He only had in the chart that she had some knee pain :\

Oh My Goodness... Seriously!  What a quack... so after a week of our family doctor fighting with the insurance company we finally have an MRI scheduled... Personally I think some of the tests can be cut out and stop wasting money on pointless tests.. My opinion is that if the quack doctor only suspected and acl tear and he knew it wouldn't show up on a x-ray.. then why waste time and money to do one?  Just saying!

I think that's a BIG problem with our economy and society... Everyone's out to get rich off the next person....while others are just trying to survive... I don't have a lot of faith in our government.. which is very sad.. I mean I LOVE MY COUNTRY... don't get that wrong... But maybe I just don't have enough patience with our government to actually do what's right by the rest of us instead of lining their own pockets for personal gain.  I think if they want to "fix" our economy like they all claim then I think they should all take a huge pay cut and then be patient while our economy and our country become fruitful again.

Now when it comes to things like children and growing a garden I have patience...I love growing my own veggies and fruits.. I guess maybe it's because I know that I worked for that product... and when you put work into something and you have patience and it turns out good then you are proud... and if it doesn't turn out the best you know what you have to do to fix it next time...

I guess patience is actually a teaching tool... So maybe patience is indeed a virtue.
